Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: For wolftonechambers.com I chose a stripped down aesthetic akin to the interfaces of early computing, when human interaction wasn't even a factor, and high contrast and mono space type weren't choices, but an ineluctable reality. The page abandons users in a sea of meaningless glyphs, memetic of the chaotic Cosmos. I chose a brutalist design to communicate the content of the site which is hard on the senses and requires concerted effort to interpret. It gives the user no option but to either leave, or abandon immediate needs and engage the content with vested curiosity and post apocalyptic adventure.
