Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: Slowness of real time and reduction of form
The website continuously draws the relationship between events of place, time, and movement in the current moment. Visitors see their proximity to the most recent geological movements as well as the geographical and temporal presence of others in the room at that time. The visual elements are reduced to three kinds of marks that construct seemingly abstract and changing compositions. Through the reduction of information, visitors gradually uncover the vastness of the room by investigating the marks with their mouse.
