Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: Funny.. I never thought of my page as being brutalist… however looking at your growing list of websites, I can see what you mean and am happy to be associated with many of the ones listed there! Nevertheless, main reason being that I currently have an awesome job teaching creative coding to design students, so my website doesn’t have to serve a particular function such as selling myself or as a portfolio (even though it still offers both, but as secondary levels of info). The whole visual feedback/interaction had started a few years earlier as a Processing sketch that got overly complicated and turned into a non-performed-performance-tool. Then I decided to strip it down to basic functionality with the mouse and offer a VJ-in-a-website tool for anyone out there to enjoy.

Q: Who designed the website?
A: Me, myself...
Q: Who coded the website?
A: … and I
Q: With what kind of editor?
A: I’ve used TextMate for years due to habits, having bought it and easily programmable code macros. For students, I tend to recommend SublimeText 2 as it has similar features with a great endless ‘demo’ policy.
