Ruiz Stephinson – Homage to the Screen (Anthony)

Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: For us, in our artistic practice the virtual/online world is as relevant as IRL. We include it as a natural reflection on contemporary society. We work with easily accessible technologies in all of the digital and digitally inspired work, using it as a way to open up the dialogue. This site is an undefined ‘village’ with things to discover, and ‘residents’ who are regularly invited to participate.
Q: Who designed the website?
A: We designed the website ourselves, letting it dictate it’s own aesthetic as it grew. The resident pages are designed in collaboration with the artists and musicians who are in residency at the time. Currently we have the art collective SEX BODY ACHE in both the club and the art centre.

Q: Who coded the website?
The website was created using the basic online WIX platform by ourselves, with scavenged and readapted open source html. It is very important to us to use commonly available technologies and open source code, to keep the result as egalitarian as possible.
Q: With what kind of editor?
