Studio Mut

Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: At Studio Mut, we start designing almost everything as if it was a poster, even when it’s going to be something completely different afterwards, like a corporate identity, a signage-system or – in this case – a website. We actually designed and developed a whole other website for our studio before we scrapped it: it was just too “nice”. We got back to designing a site which was more in line with how we design our client projects: reduced, with a selection of projects rather then an archive, with a simple but powerful aesthetic. The website is now 3 years old, and we still love it. We don’t think it’s brutal, but it’s In Your Face for sure.
Q: Who designed the website?
A: The Studio Mut founders, Thomas Kronbichler and Martin Kerschbaumer did, with help by programmer extraordinaire Amin Al Hazwani.
Q: Who coded the website?
A: The site was coded by our friend Amin Al Hazwani, wo unfortunately is too busy and successful nowadays to do small projects like that with us. Did we mention that he is madly talented?
Q: What’s next?
A: We are currently designing a bunch of websites for different clients. They are not as “brutal” as our own, but they all follow the mantra: Say your thing, and say it loud.
