Look at the cool brands in the Philippines. They all look the same. They all say the same things. They all want to be pretty.

Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?

vgrafiks: Because people think it's cool. The people of our country are so far behind the curve, this shit startles them. While Vaporwave is dying elsewhere, our big companies are still in the hand-drawn typography and quirky illustrations phase. What a bunch of schmucks. On a more serious note, brutalism reflects the our nihilism towards what's happening now in graphic design and branding. It's all spectacle and no story. Look at the cool brands in the Philippines. They all look the same. They all say the same things. They all want to be pretty. But the truth is ugly: it's just about the money. Even Vigi is part of the joke. The website you see now could have been so much more, it could have been really brutal, but we had to tone it down because we still have clients who are, you know, 1.0. But it's okay because we do it ironically naman.

Q: Who designed the website?

vgrafiks: I did. Hi, world, I'm Roselle, the big bubba of Vigi. With my boislaves, Eugene Tuazon and Earvin Padua with the help of Cockroach Queen CHOBS & Rodney J. Tinambacan, a.k.a. Carlos Afable, a.k.a. Kiefer Kefir. He just left us because we couldn't pay him enough. He was a genius. He was a god. Now he's just selling that icky sour milk. Why does it have to be this way, man? Why? Please give us some money.

Q: Who coded the website?

vgrafiks: Gian Marco Aguilar. If you can think it, he can code it. He's exceptional not only because of that, but also because he gets plenty of sunlight, he has a social life, and he runs marathons. He's rich and handsome and he does what you tell him. I wish we could be as ballin' as he is, but alas, we have to be cool, we have to be avant-garde, we have to make a statement, we have to be artistes. It's an urge we can't resist.

Q: With what kind of editor?

vgrafiks: ;)
