Michael Schindhelm (Johannes Siemer / Lu Nelson)
Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: Maybe because it’s one of the few ways too make sure a digital design lasts longer than let’s say the obligatory 3 years, so I’d say they age well. It’s 2018 now and I think the website went online 2013. Of course the type is a little too small and a few other things that could be updated in terms of contemporary UX. But still, with their »natural bruti« brutatlist websites if done right usually stand out with a character of their own – and therefore can make an impression that lasts.
Q: Who designed the website?
A: My colleagues and me, here at State There’s another (small) website we did on your site: http://yousaypotatoisayfuckyou.com
Q: Who coded the website?
A: Our friend and collaborator, the fabulous Lu Nelson
Q: With what kind of editor?
A: Just a text editor—in those days it would have been Sublime Text—not as brutalist as it could have been! I should have done it in Textedit I guess
