Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: I am trained as an architect and have had my focus on researching the historical relationship between books, architecture and the internet. Traditionally architects have been working with the media of the book in some very unconventional ways, seeing as their backgrounds have been in construction and not in graphic design. I wanted to bring that to the web by disregarding some of the common practices of web design, and instead implementing a sense of physical rather than digital logic. The overarching concept of the website is to detach the object from the plane. This creates a relationship that is sometimes struggling, and sometimes harmonious. At the same time, building the site gave me the opportunity to learn coding.

Q: Who designed the website?
A: I did.
Q: Who coded the website?
A: I did.
Q: With what kind of editor?
A: I used Brackets.
