Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: This website is a whole experiment. I was going to work on a e-commerce
site, so researching a bit I stumbled upon some banking algorithms, as
Luhn's one. I thought in using Luhn' algorithm as the only rule in a
game of life wherein every cell acts as the control digit of its
neighbours. I started doing it in processing but at the very end I
wanted to have it online so I re-coded it in canvas. I had different
versions with texts, menu, even some basic gui to modify the process
real-time, but at the very end I preferred a very raw thing, no sugar,
no explanatory things. Take it until you get bored or leave it. It was
selected in the net-art category of the media-art festival Festival de
la Imagen (Manizales, Colombia).
