Q: Why do you have a Brutalist Website?
A: I designed a brutalist website for copywriter David Hillier to as a part of bringing his own branding more in line with the subjects he writes about. David's writing style is incredibly honest, direct and he's never hiding behind any polish or anything fancy. Rather than having a logo or lots of pictures from all the articles he's written, we decided to introduce him through talking about the things he's done, and the people he's written for (Vice, The Guardian, Playboy, Shortlist amongst many others) as it was felt that says more about him than any bio could. This is done through large, bold typography as you arrive on the site which animates in and is a space David can experiment with and update really easily. You can then access an archive of his work or testimonials once you click on the black circle in the top right.
